EDELWEISS. ist ein performativer Dokumentarfilm über die oft erschütternde Realität von People of Color in Österreich. Der Film ist eine offene Darstellung der Perspektiven vieler People of Color, die unterschiedliche Verbindungen zu Österreich haben; einige nennen es ihr Zuhause, andere haben es zu ihrer sogenannten „Heimat“ gemacht und wieder andere würden es nie als „Heimat“ bezeichnen. EDELWEISS. ist ein kritischer Liebesbrief an ein Land, das ein besserer Ort für diejenigen werden muss, die es seit Jahren zu einem besseren Ort machen.

Nach dem Film laden wir zu einem kleinen Buffet und Gesprächstischen mit Initiativen und Organisationen aus Salzburg ein, die sich für antirassistische Arbeit engagieren.

Film screening on behalf of the international day for the elimination of racism

EDELWEISS. is a performative documentary about the often harrowing realities of People of Color living in Austria. The movie is a frank depiction of the perspectives of many People of Color who have varying connections to Austria; some who call it home, some who have made it their home, and others who would never call it home. Edelweiss is a critical love letter to a country that needs to become a better place for those who have been making it a better place for years.

The film EDELWEISS. is a product of the Through Our Eyes project in collaboration with the Triangle Studio.

After the film, we invite you to a small buffet and discussion tables with initiatives and organizations from Salzburg that are committed to anti-racist work.
